YORTHO elastic ligature ties are manufactured from high-quality medical elastic materials. In orthodontic clinical practice, they are used to secure archwires within bracket slots to stabilize archwires and deliver orthodontic forces, serving as a fundamental consumable for fixed orthodontic treatment. Featuring long-lasting elasticity, stable resilience, excellent biocompatibility and low allergenicity, these ties are available in multiple colors to satisfy both clinical practicality and aesthetic requirements.
For fixed orthodontic treatment. The ties ligate and fix orthodontic archwires in bracket slots, maintain archwire position and achieve tooth movement and alignment.
Pre-operation Preparation Check package integrity and expiry date. Select YORTHO ligature ties of suitable size according to bracket specifications and clinical plans. Wear medical gloves and operate with ligature placing pliers.
Clamping and Stretching Grip the ligature tie with the tip of ligature pliers and stretch it gently and evenly. Avoid overstretching which may lead to elasticity loss or rupture.
Placement and Ligation Hook the stretched ligature tie onto the bracket wings, embed it onto both bracket wings sequentially. Verify that the tie is fully fastened on the bracket, wraps the archwire and holds the archwire firmly inside the slot.
Inspection and Adjustment Ensure the ligature tie is free from twisting or slipping and does not compress the gingiva. Release excessive stretching force promptly to prevent continuous excessive elastic force from irritating periodontal tissues.
Post-treatment The replacement interval shall follow the orthodontist’s treatment plan. Advise patients not to pull or remove the ligature tie by themselves. Seek prompt re-examination if the tie falls off or gingival discomfort occurs.
✅ Consistent Elasticity: Slow elastic decay, sustained and uniform orthodontic force, minimizing rapid force loss between appointments
✅ Flexible & Tear-resistant: High material toughness, resists tearing during clamping and stretching, improving clinicians’ working efficiency
✅ Low Irritation: Medical-grade raw material reduces risks of gingival allergy and inflammation
✅ Multiple Sizes & Colors: Clear and colored options available for aesthetic orthodontics and tooth identification in clinical use
✅ Standardized Quality Control: Excellent batch-to-batch consistency, ideal for bulk procurement by clinics and hospitals
Single-use only. Do not re-sterilize or reuse. Do not use if the package is damaged. For professional orthodontists only. Not for self-operation by patients. Storage: Keep in cool and dry place, away from UV light and high temperature to prevent material aging and elasticity loss. Contraindication: Prohibited for patients allergic to the product materials.
